Caffeine Free Coffee: An Organic Coffee Alternative

I love coffee and I am a coffee lover for a very long time. It fueled my day because of its aroma and its taste that keeps me awake especially during my work. With my lifestyle, a few years back, working in a graveyard shift is never easy and one thing that saves me from falling asleep is no other than “coffee!”. Yes, I am a coffee lover but I admit I can only manage one to two cups of regular coffee per day. However, as times goes by, things have changed and my taste of coffee had switched dramatically. Due to some health reasons, I have been advised to refrain or skip drinking coffee whenever is possible.

Who does not want coffee? I mean especially for those coffee lovers out there? As for me, coffee does not only keep me awake but it also warms me up during cold or rainy days. Still, I prefer coffee but I’m considering a different type of coffee so I switched from commercial to organic or herbal coffee. I have been drinking organic or herbal coffee for quite a while now and since then I have been a huge fan of it.

The other coffee alternative that I have been using right now is the Whole Earth Organic No Caffeine. It is mainly made of organic barley and chicory. My husband bought me this bottle of coffee from Holland & Barrett when we went to Middlesbrough and it cost £2.69. As far as my health is concerned, I decided to opt with organic coffee mainly to dodge of the caffeine content of the regular one. For some reason, my stomach cannot sustain the caffeine in it causing me to switch to organic. Although I think that taking caffeinated coffee in moderation is may not that be so villain as it made out to be but having too much of it can be harmful to anyone’s health.

I do like this coffee though. It does taste like real coffee to me plus the other ingredients that incorporate into it. Now, I don’t have to feel guilty sipping my coffee compare to what I used to drink. This coffee is packed with health benefits and I started loving it now. To share this with you, I gathered a list of amazing health and beauty benefits of the ingredients especially these two main ingredients of this product–Barley and Chicory.

Barley: A wonderfully versatile cereal grain, member of the grass family. Its appearance resembles wheat berries, although it is slightly lighter in color. Barley is relatively low in calories, high in fiber, and packed with vitamins and nutrients. Its nutritional fame is based on its being a very good source of molybdenum, manganese, dietary fiber, and selenium, and a good source of copper, vitamin B1, chromium, phosphorus, magnesium, and niacin.

Barley and chicory each contain natural antioxidants. Rye: Rye is a cereal grain, like wheat, oats or barley. is naturally high in fiber and a great source of magnesium, iron, and zinc. Eating foods high in insoluble fiber, such as rye, can help women avoid gallstones, shows a study published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Some of these key components include manganese, copper, phosphorous, B-complex vitamins and phenolic antioxidant compounds.

Precaution: Dried figs are higher in natural sugar content than fresh figs and can potentially cause tooth decay. Fresh figs have lower sugar contents. If you’re concerned about the sugar content and you’re pre-diabetic or worse, consider fig leaves, not for concealing private parts, but for eating. there are those who are allergic to figs or certain chemical components within them, and the resulting allergic reactions can be mild to severe. Finally, it is best not to consume too many figs in the week or two leading up to a surgery, because it can occasionally cause bleeding in the digestive tract in sensitive individuals.
